On the time of sunset the sky turns golden with a patch of red on the horizon and the silver sands reflects the last rays of the sun, which form a delightful ambience in this place. The red sun rising and sun setting; the silver white sky during night gives a clear reflection on the water and beautify the revering. The place is renowned not only for its scenic beauty but also for the Belur Math, the temple of Ramakrishna. It has many educational institution surrounded it. It is a well planned and designed city of West Bengal with broad roads, gardens, parks, fountains and spacious government offices and markets. It is also the Rail terminal of West Bengal.  Tourists must visit the place to experience the real beauty of River Ganges.

Belur Math Temple

  this is the major religious place in West Bengal. It is an abode of peace.  The environment of the temple is surrounded by peace and tranquility. It is the temple of Ramakrishna, the great Hindu saint. The place feeds as well gives shelter to the needy, poor and orphanage people. It has an Ashram where the His disciples leaves now. The place is so full of harmony and serenity that the tourists get enthralled and delighted.

 it is the place for the tree lovers or nature lovers. A place must visit by all. It has varieties of trees. The visit to Howrah is incomplete without seeing Botanical garden. It has a Great Indian Banyan tree that has the biggest canopy of the world. During spring the garden is bloom with different types of colorful and vibrant flowers. It is also serves a research place for the zoologists. Thousands of people come here to visit this place every year.
Howrah Bridge

 Howrah Bridge popularly known as Rabindra Setu is another main attraction of Howrah or Kolkata. It is located above the River Ganges. The marvelous work of the bridge is something that attracts the tourists. 
Santragachi Jheel in this place the tourists can have a glimpse of many different kinds of birds. The best time to visit this place is in the month November-February.  It has a small pond where the birds are being protected. It is a quite popular place; a fun place for the kids, refreshment for the oldies and appealing place for the youths.
Rail Museum- a museum constructed and maintained by the Railway Department.  In this museum the tourists can find different models of engines of old days, railway equipments, varieties model of trains etc. 
How to reach Howrah
By AIR Kolkata airport serves the as the Howrah Airport. Taxi or cab is always available from the airport.
By RAIL Howrah has its own railway station. Rather Howrah station is quite popular railway terminal. From there the tourists can go to any part of Howrah.
By BUS Regular buses are available from all the parts of West Bengal. Howrah is really a nice place to explore.
